EcoBins and Teddy Bear: plan your New Jersey move together

Two services, with clear responsibilities

EcoBins and Teddy Bear Moving & Storage are service partners. EcoBins rents reusable moving bins, delivers them in New Jersey and collects the empty bins after your rental. Teddy Bear offers moving, packing and storage services, quoted and arranged separately.

You can rent bins without hiring Teddy Bear. You can also discuss a Teddy Bear move and choose the packing approach that suits it. The EcoBins form on Teddy Bear’s website uses the same EcoBins booking system, so a bin reservation there is still an EcoBins rental.

Booking the bins does not automatically reserve a moving crew, truck or storage space. Confirm those services directly with Teddy Bear and keep both confirmations with your moving plan.

For a local move within New Jersey

A typical plan starts with bins arriving at the old home before moving day. You pack, your chosen mover transports your belongings, and you unpack at the new home before EcoBins collects the empty bins.

1. Confirm the move: discuss your addresses, inventory, access and dates with Teddy Bear.
2. Book your bins: choose a package and rental length, then enter the delivery and pickup details.
3. Leave time on both sides: allow time to pack before the crew arrives and unpack before collection.
4. Share changes: tell each team if a date, address or building access arrangement changes.

Teddy Bear’s local moving service can discuss the labor and packing help you need. EcoBins checks bin delivery and pickup coverage, available dates and service fees during checkout.

For a long-distance move starting in New Jersey

Teddy Bear offers long-distance moving services. That does not extend EcoBins’ bin collection area: we do not deliver or pick up bins outside New Jersey.

Before renting for a move that leaves the state, discuss the packing plan with both teams. Do not book on the assumption that EcoBins will collect the containers at the destination. A one-way move may be better suited to cardboard boxes or other packing arranged with the mover.

If reusable bins are part of an earlier NJ packing or organizing stage, agree how they will be emptied and available for collection at an eligible New Jersey address within the rental period. Any transfer into other containers needs its own time and handling plan. If you cannot arrange that, choose another container for the long-distance shipment.

When there is a gap between homes

A delayed closing or a gap between leases changes both the moving and rental schedules. Ask Teddy Bear about short- or long-term storage, including timing and the packing arrangement for stored items.

Then talk with EcoBins about the bin dates. A storage reservation does not include an automatic bin extension. Confirm whether the bins will be emptied before storage, or whether an available longer rental fits your plan and budget. Do not assume EcoBins can enter a storage facility or retrieve packed bins without a separate arrangement.

Have these details ready for the teams

• Your old and new locations, plus any planned storage stop.
• The preferred move date and any flexibility around it.
• A room-by-room inventory and items needing special packing.
• Stairs, elevators, loading access and building appointment requirements.
• Who is doing the packing and when the bins will be empty.
